Facilities:

Guilford College is fortunate to have some outstanding training grounds for cross country. We have 250 acres of woods located on campus with multiple loops to run on. We also have the meadows, which is five large fields where we run repeats ranging from 400m on up. We also have a cross country course on campus which is measured for 5k, 6k, and 8k races. We also have some excellent training areas off campus.

We also take advantage of the Guilford College Aquatics center, which has a 6-lane pool as well as a well for deep water running. We train weekly in the pool to help minimize injuries and provide variety to our program.

Weight-lifting is an important part of our program as well. Guilford has a well stocked weight room with free weights as well as machines. In addition we have multiple treadmills, ellipticals, and stationary bikes that can be used to prevent or recover from injury or allow us to practice in all weather conditions.

Guilford College also has an outstanding group of athletic trainers who take care of our physical needs. We are assigned a trainer each season who oversees everything from blisters and scrapes to designing strength and rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
